The Arctic Institute is excited to publish the first interactive graph for Arctic sea ice extent. The chart depicts monthly Arctic sea ice extent for the years 2007 through 2011 as well as the monthly average for the years 1979-2000 as a reference point. A mouse over effect allows the user to retrieve data points directly from the graph by pointing the mouse at places inside the chart. The graph is based on the Sea Ice Index published by the National Snow and Ice Data Center.
